Tour of Historic Morningthorpe Castle
Wednesday August 3 at 2:00pm
Join us for a tour of Historic Morningthorpe Castle, the former home of circus showman Seth B. Howes. Howes (1815-1901) was born and raised in Brewster, and he followed in his brother Nathan’s footsteps as a founding creator of the American circus. Registration is required, please register here https://brewsterlibrary.evanced.info/signup/EventDetails?EventId=5869&backTo=Calendar&startDate=2022/08/01.
A special thank you to Delancey Street Foundation for opening their home to us. Today, the Castle is home to the Brewster facility of the Delancey Street Foundation, a leading residential self-help organization for former substance abusers, ex-convicts, homeless and others who have hit bottom. Since 1971, at no cost to the resident or the taxpayer, Delancey Street has been helping others balance the scales of their lives and earn back self-respect, decency, and a legitimate place in mainstream society.
